Want laptop in cheap price? Try Refurbish one.

We all love to have brand new laptops. But always it may not be possible to go for new Laptops because of high price. There is a good alternative available. Instead of new laptop you can go for a refurbish one. If you can choose the right one, it is possible to buy a Laptop with good configuration and almost as good as new. But that can be more then thirty percent dearer compare to new one.

What is refurbish Laptop? When laptops are returned, they are shipped back to factory where they are inspected thoroughly, rectified what ever needed, and again packed for second sale. But those laptops can’t be declared as new. They are refurbished. One disadvantage in buying refurbish laptop is you may not find latest technologies in them.

Though these laptops are available in cheap price, they are reliable, plus you will get full warranty like new laptops. So, if you can get a good laptop in cheaper rate, why not take the chance .

PowerNow technology in AMD Opteron chips

  • The battle of the chipmakers heated up today with Advanced Micro Devices, one of the world's largest processor manufacturers, unveiling new dual-core chips in the Opteron line.
  • Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is using its PowerNow technology to help its new AMD Opteron chips reduce their power consumption during idle times.
  • AMD's new Opteron chips -- the 1218 HE, 2218 HE, and 8218 HE -- are designed to use less power while still operating at higher speeds. They also are designed to compete directly against Intel's Xeon chips.
  • The new 2.6-GHz processors operate at 68 watts, compared with 95 watts for the basic version of the chips. In addition, the new chips offer a 180 percent improvement in speed over older Opterons, according to AMD.

Hybrid Storage Drive from Dynamic Network Factory

  • High-performance network storage provider Dynamic Network Factory introduced Feb. 1 the first hybrid solid-state, spinning disk storage system, which the company claims is capable of delivering up to 20 times the drive performance of conventional, 15,000-RPM enterprise-class SAS, iSCSI and Fibre Channel disk drives--while aiming to lower the costs of power and cooling.
  • Hyper Solid State disks combine standard disk drive technology with random access memory in an intelligent design that maximizes performance and energy efficiency
  • This hybrid technology fits into a standard 3.5-inch drive bay and uses a standard SATA (serial ATA) interface, allowing existing systems to be retrofitted to support the new disk drives.
